Scanner is the first Ankaaran soldier to be trained at the Fallen. After he blew off his leg trying to help me field test liquid detonite, Ankaar gave him the heave-ho. Hannah bet Ankaar that she could break his conditioning in six months, a feat which had never been done successfully before. Wouldn't you know that she did it?! Scanner's now a member of the team and is living with us at the apartment. We've had some rough times, but he's basically a good kid. Smart to beat all and one helluva shot at long range. I'd want HIM covering my back.

Serci Shilliday

Serci Shilliday is Kessler's girlfriend and our babysitter. She was one of the mercenary students, but she didn't graduate with her initial class because she missed so many days working for us. So I paid to keep her in school the extra semester and she graduated with Kessler. Serci's best talents lay in her ability to mimic, which sets her up in infiltration and espionage. She's also not a bad shot with a blaster. When she left school, she moved in with me and Tierza. She's watching Tansi while we work, taking the occasional job herself.

Javin "Recoil" Metellos

Javin was an Ankaaran student; one of ten that we got after Hannah won the bet about Scanner. Of the ten, he was the only one to buck his training, with some major interference from Scanner, and refuse to return. Javin's a small-arms specialist, dealing mainly with blasters and hand weapons. That's one thing about Ankaaran soldiers: they specialize. Javin's typically Ankaaran: tight lipped, observant, very smart and with the personality of a door knob. This one's staying with Claryse Starling. If she can't crack him, nobody can. Apparently Crane managed to crack him. In the skull. With a rock. Javin's body wasn't recovered but he's presumed dead.

A.J.'s face belongs to HRH Prince William

A.J. Creighton was one of my teammates for Bad Company. He's a top-notch mechanic and a fair pilot. He's also a riot to be around. I've never seen anyone who can eat like this kid and not gain one iota. He's just an all-around good kid and he tries to keep me in line, tho he's usually in as much trouble as I'm in, so that isn't saying much.

This woman is one of my heroines. She stood up for me at a time when I needed someone most: she was my attorney when I had kidnapped Willa and Soryn Rendar. After I admitted my guilt, I thought it would be another prison sentence for sure, but this woman got the charges dropped. It's not something I'll ever forget.

Commander Dietrich Crane

Crane's a big pain in the rear to most of us, but we like him anyway. He used to be second of our group. I swear this man has more jobs than anyone I've met and more lives than a feline. Military man, he's quite the martinet. I have to respect his military tactics, but the guy has the personality of a dinko. I hope he learns some interpersonal skills before I have to knock him in the head or drop a grenade in his shorts. Now that he's married to Thalia, hopefully she'll bring him around. Since he's left our group, I think I actually understand him a little better. But then, I've been wrong before.

Jedi Master Thalia Najoqui

Thalia's face belongs to Kirsten Dunst

Jedi Thalia is Crane's wife and one of the few Jedi I get along with. I respect Thalia as a healer, as a friend and as the woman who helped deliver both my wife's and Hannah's babies. She helps run Fiuran: a Jedi school out on grounds very near the Fallen. How she puts up with Dietrich Crane is beyond me, but there must be something there because the two of them seem inseparatable.

Claryse Starling

Claryse's face belongs to Jessica Alba

Claryse Starling, Iriscopen soldier. I know there's no such thing. Claryse is really breaking taboo by joining our little group. But she's the granddaughter of Major Marmaduke Ellington, so between her being that, female and Iriscopen, it makes her one of the biggest hard-heads there is. She's got a lot to learn about being a soldier, but she seems willing enough to learn, and that's the important part.

Tan'tynt

Tan'tynt's... well, it's hard to say what Tan is. But he's a close friend of Tierza's. As a matter of fact, he's saved Tierza's hide several times now, and although I don't know Tan as well as I'd like, anyone who watches out for the love of my life has top billing among my friends any day.

Partner - Cedric Bron

Cedric's face belongs to Dean Cain

This is the one guy you REALLY gotta feel sorry for. Not only is he stuck working demo under me, but he has to put up with me on a personal level also. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better demo partner than Cedric. Sure, he's a goof-off sometimes, but I'm worse, and he's really quick to pick up on what I show him. He's been with me through some tough personal times and hasn't asked for thing one from me. I'd have to consider Cedric one of my best friends.
